Cookie Policy
The cookies and browser storage Fame Factor currently uses, why they are needed and how to control them.
Version 1.2 · Effective date: 8 October 2026
1. About cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small pieces of data saved by a website in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features, but are not cookies. They help a site keep you signed in, remember choices and preserve work in progress.
This inventory describes the current production Fame Factor code. Exact Supabase cookie names include a project identifier and may be split into more than one cookie when a session is large.
3. Optional preferences
Optional preferences are off until you accept them. You can use the site, complete onboarding, change the sidebar and submit feedback without enabling them; those choices and form contents then remain in memory rather than being saved between visits.
- ff_funnel_painPoints and ff_funnel_stage (local storage)
- Remember onboarding choices and the last funnel stage. Until withdrawal, browser clearing, or consent expiry is detected on the next active visit.
- feedbackDraft and teacherFeedbackDraft (local storage)
- Remember unfinished feedback type, title and description. Drafts may contain personal information: avoid enabling this on a shared device if you do not want others using that browser to see them. Until submitted, cleared, withdrawal, or consent expiry is detected.
- teacher-onboarding-dismissed (local storage)
- Remember dismissal of the teacher setup checklist. Until withdrawal, browser clearing, or consent expiry is detected.
- sidebar:state (cookie)
- Remember whether the application sidebar is open or closed. 7 days, or earlier on withdrawal or detected consent expiry.
Rejecting or withdrawing consent deletes these saved optional items. It does not clear your account, game progress, or the contents of a feedback form already open.
4. Stripe-hosted pages
When an adult follows a link to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal, Stripe may set cookies on its own hosted pages for payment, fraud prevention, security and session management. Stripe is responsible for those cookies and provides its own privacy and cookie information.
5. Analytics, advertising and consent
Fame Factor currently does not set production advertising cookies or production analytics cookies. We ask for consent for optional preferences and apply the same controls to cookies and similar browser storage. Necessary storage stays active to provide the service you request.
The banner offers equally prominent acceptance and rejection of optional storage. Manage preferences lets you review the purpose before saving a choice. Browsing, ignoring the banner or closing settings does not give consent.
Any future analytics or marketing integration will need an updated inventory and appropriate consent controls before it is enabled.
6. Your controls
Use the Cookie settings button in the homepage footer to change your choice at any time. Switch optional preferences off and save, or choose Reject optional cookies, to withdraw consent immediately.
We remember both acceptance and rejection for six calendar months in this browser and website origin. We ask again when that period expires or storage purposes materially change. Preferences are not linked to your account or synchronised between devices. Changes apply to other open tabs on this website.
If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies in memory for this visit and cannot be remembered between visits. Browser settings also let you view, block and delete cookies and site storage. Blocking authentication cookies can prevent sign-in. You can turn off remember me so authentication cookies expire with your browser session.
7. Updates and contact
We review this policy when browser storage or third-party integrations change. The version and effective date at the top show the current inventory. Email support@famefactor.co.uk if you have a question about a cookie or stored key.
