Who is Fame Factor?

Fame Factor is a maths game that helps you practise times tables. It is run by a company called Fruition International Ltd.

This page is written for children. If any words feel tricky, ask a parent, carer or teacher to read it with you.

The grown-up privacy notice has more detail. This page is not a replacement for it.

What do you know about me?

A grown-up may give us your name, username, class and the name of your school, centre or family group. If you are 13 or older and make your own learner account, you may also give us your email address.

  • The answers you choose
  • Your scores and how quickly you answer
  • Which questions you find easy or hard
  • Your rewards, coins, leaderboard entries and character choices
  • Information that helps us keep your account and device safe

Why do you need it?

We use this information to run the game, remember your progress, choose useful practice, give you rewards and keep Fame Factor safe and fair. We also use it to fix problems and answer support questions.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it to show you adverts chosen by following what you do online.

Who can see my progress?

A parent, teacher, school or tuition centre that looks after your account may see your answers, scores and progress. A small number of Fame Factor staff may see information when they need to help you, fix the service or keep it safe.

  • Trusted technology companies help us store information, send emails, deliver game files and take payments from adults.
  • They must follow rules about how they use the information.
  • Other players might see a display name and score on a leaderboard, but they should not see your email address.

How long do you keep it?

We normally delete your account and learning information, or change it so it cannot identify you, within 90 days after the trial or subscription connected to you ends. It may move with you if another active parent, teacher or school takes over your account. Deleted backup copies age out within 10 more days.

Some records must be kept longer because of law, safety or a complaint. The grown-up notice lists those times.

What can I ask for?

You can ask what information we have about you. You can ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete information when the law allows it.

  • Tell a parent, carer or teacher what you want to do.
  • They can email support@famefactor.co.uk with you.
  • If your school made your account, your school may need to answer the request.

What if I am worried?

Stop and talk to an adult you trust. You will not get into trouble for asking a privacy question or making a complaint. You or your adult can contact Fame Factor at support@famefactor.co.uk.

If you need this page in another format, ask us. We will try to help.
